IMPROVED SWEET POTATO VARIETIES FOR THE LOWLANDS & HIGHLANDS
Summary
Two improved varieties of sweet potato have been pre-released to the farming community. These lines were tested in a series of trials across diverse locations at Bubia in Morobe, Aiyamontena in The improved varieties NSP 01 (NIB 005[G2]) and NSP 02 (NIB 1032-189[G5]) have shown stable performance across different environments and had comparative advantage over known local commercial varieties such as Wanmun and Kerot Goroka.
