This Training Manual is designed for conducting both theory and practical lessons on the construction, instillation and use or management of Bio-sand filter (BSF). In theory participants are expected to understand the water sources, causes of water contaminants and parts and functions of the BSF that helps in purifying water.
This training manual was prepared for the trainers to use as guide in conducting Trainer of Trainers for vulnerable communities who are having difficulties in accessing safe and quality drinking water.
